Our Programs
In addition to the Kicklighter Academy, the Kicklighter Resource Center strives to provide beneficial programs and services for people with special needs in our community. Such as:
Residential Services provides permanent, safe, healthy and affordable living for adults with disabilities in group homes and semi-independent apartments.
Family Support is available in the form of in-home instruction and therapy. Our staff can also assist you in locating additional resources to meet your individual needs.
Respite Care is offered every second Saturday of the month from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. This service is free to students and children with special needs and is available to their siblings for $20 per sibling. Pre registration is required.
Advocacy & Education programs are ongoing to increase family and public awareness and understanding about available resources, treatment methods and research.
Individual Program Plans are carefully developed for children with special needs.
